D11 X-Gen Walkersele represents a relatively new design within our well proven family of radial lip seals for rotating shafts and rotating plant. This specialised external sealing, fingerspring-energised design is optimised to the sealing of the main bearings of the very largest wind turbines.

  • Integral fingerspring design achieves consistent lip load at even the largest diameters and makes installation simpler than other spring options.
  • Long term fatigue testing shows consistent response even at high speed, ensuring the sealing lip remains in contact with the sealing surface at all times.
  • Validated to operate at dynamic radial eccentricities of up to +/- 1.5 mm (1/16") at surface speeds of up to 2 m/s.

  • Yaw/slew bearings on large diameter wind turbines

  • Temperature range - dependent on material configuration: -30°C to 150°C (-22°F to 302°F)
  • Maximum system pressure: 50 kPa / 0.5 bar (7 psi)
  • Maximum surface speed - dependent on material configuration: 2.6 m/s (512 fpm)
