The Position

We are currently looking to recruit an Operator on a permanent contract. This role will be within the Materials Technology Centre based at the Cockermouth Manufacturing Business Unit in Cumbria.

The hours of work are 37 hours per week on day shift and the starting salary will be £24,420.90 per annum.

Key responsibilities

• Weighing out ingredients, mixing, milling and packing of rubber compounds to support the JW manufacturing operation.
• Processing of bought-in fabrics into reels for use in the manufacturing operation.
• Responsibility for quality of own work.
• Picking and putting away of raw materials and fabric, cycle counting, regular stock checks on high value and consumable materials.

Preferred Experience

• A fork lift truck licence would be preferred for this role. The successful candidate must be willing to work towards this if they do not currently hold a licence.
