ADIPEC 2023

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be exhibiting at the upcoming ADIPEC exhibition.

Taking place on 2th - 5th October 2023 in Abu Dhabi, ADIPEC is the world’s largest gathering for the energy industry and is this year based on the theme 'Decarbonising. Faster. Together'. Over 2200 companies from around the world will come together to showcase the latest strategies and innovations that are defining the future of energy.

As well as showcasing our wide product and service portfolio including, but not limited to, sealing solutions, bolting technology, expansion joints and on-site services; we will also be promoting our new local gasket manufacturing and service centre in Abu Dhabi. This new facility will guarantee an improved and quicker supply chain for the local market, as well as the ability to respond to emergency demands with the capability of manufacturing urgent and non-standard gaskets.

From exploration and production in the deepest offshore fields to the harshest arctic or desert conditions on shore, our product ranges have been developed to improve operational safety and efficiency. Supporting customer challenges under extreme conditions such as rapid gas decompression, chemical attack and extremes of temperatures, we have validated and proven materials for a large number of applications.

Hydrogen service
James Walker has taken the initiative in undertaking a programme of product and material validation. The objective is to give customers confidence that specific products or materials are suitable for hydrogen service, and that any such selection can be supported with evidence from relevant testing.

Solar power
Focused on the development and validation of solutions to combat extremely aggressive media and very high operating temperatures, we are helping to support customers in this sector by providing effective sealing options for pumps and valves operating molten salt media in heat storage and transfer of thermal solar power generation. Key aims are to assist in minimising unscheduled downtime, enhancing plant efficiency and improving on-site safety.

Carbon capture and storage
Transportation and storage of carbon dioxide can present a number risks and technical challenges. These include variations in system temperature, elevated pressures and significant volume changes.

Sealing components exposed to these extreme environments need to be tested and proven to operate in difficult conditions, with product and material selection supported by test data and proven field experience. James Walker has conducted testing with 100% CO₂ across a number of materials to ensure that the products offered can cater for the most demanding applications in CCUS service.
