From 3rd – 5th December, we will be in Hall 1, Stand D17 to showcase our extensive range of valve sealing solutions, joining 500 exhibitors from over 30 countries. Valve World Expo covers all aspects of valves, from seals, measurement and control technology to engineering services and software, making it a must-attend event for those in the industry seeking optimal performance and efficiency.

James Walker has a long history serving the valve industry and offers a wide variety of products and services to our customers. We’ll be showcasing some of these Valve World, as well as discussing our latest product developments and the challenges facing the industry.

Key product highlights include:

  • Supagraf 100FXI CS – our latest compression packing offering ‘future-ready’ valve sealing performance.
  • Devlon V-API valve seats - designed to improve flow control and energy efficiency, extending service life and promoting sustainability by reducing waste and lowering energy use.
  • High-performance elastomers - formulating and compounding our own elastomers gives us total control and traceability through every stage of the manufacturing process.
  • H2 proven gaskets – including Metakamm ActiVate, delivering superior sealing performance for critical heat exchanger, piping and valve bonnet flange applications.

Our team will be looking forward to discussing the latest challenges and opportunities with customers old and new, recognising the changes presented by new media and innovations designed to optimise sustainability and the future of energy production.

Hydrogen service
James Walker has taken the initiative in undertaking a programme of product and material validation. The objective is to give customers confidence that specific products or materials are suitable for hydrogen service, and that any such selection can be supported with evidence from relevant testing.

Carbon capture and storage
Transportation and storage of carbon dioxide can present a number risks and technical challenges. These include variations in system temperature, elevated pressures and significant volume changes.
Sealing components exposed to these extreme environments need to be tested and proven to operate in difficult conditions, with product and material selection supported by test data and proven field experience. James Walker has conducted testing with 100% CO2 across a number of materials to ensure that the products offered can cater for the most demanding applications in CCUS service.

Solar power
Focused on the development and validation of solutions to combat extremely aggressive media and very high operating temperatures, we are helping to support customers in this sector by providing effective sealing options for pumps and valves operating molten salt media in heat storage and transfer of thermal solar power generation. Key aims are to assist in minimising unscheduled downtime, enhancing plant efficiency and improving on-site safety.
